Annual Salary: £35p/h - £40p/h
Location: North London
Job Type: Part-time (30 hours per week)
Join a leading FE college in North London as a Lecturer in Public Services, delivering educational programs to students aged 16-21. This role is ideal for individuals with a background in Uniformed Protective Services or related public sectors, who are passionate about educating the next generation of public service professionals.
Day-to-day of the role:
Deliver engaging and informative lessons in Public Services to students at levels 1-3.
Prepare lesson plans and educational materials that meet curriculum standards and the needs of students.
Assess and evaluate students’ progress through assignments, tests, and examinations.
Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters learning and student engagement.
Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students’ varying needs and interests.
Participate in faculty and departmental meetings to discuss student progress and curriculum development.
Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress.
The timetable is available and may vary, typically running from Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 16:30.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Experience in the Uniformed Protective Services (e.g., Emergency Services, Armed Forces, Prison/Probation Service, Coast Guard) or other relevant public sectors (e.g., Government, Politics, Law).
Qualifications in the above areas at and above level 3.
Strong commitment to educational excellence and a passion for teaching.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to motivate and inspire students.
Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and teaching assignments.
