Role: Care Paralegal
Location: Huddersfield, South Yorkshire
Salary: £24,000 - £26,000
Contract: Full time, permanent

We are working with a well-established and highly regarded regional law firm in Huddersfield that is looking to recruit a dedicated Care Paralegal to join its expanding Family & Care department.
The firm is known for its strong reputation in public law children matters, its supportive working culture, and its commitment to delivering high-quality client care. This is an excellent opportunity for a paralegal with around 1-2 years’ experience in care proceedings or wider family law to develop their skills in a specialist team.
Role Overview:

Assisting solicitors with a busy caseload of public law children matters
*
Preparing court bundles, statements, and documents for hearings
*
Liaising with clients, local authorities, counsel, and other professionals
*
Conducting legal research and supporting fee-earners in case progression
*
Managing deadlines and ensuring compliance with court directions

About You:
*
Approximately 1-2 years’ experience within care proceedings or family law
*
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
*
Excellent communication skills and a client-focused approach
*
A genuine interest in public law children work
*
Ability to work well within a close-knit, supportive team
