Senior Architectural Technician
Location: Cambridge
Salary:£40-47,000
A well-respected, long-established architectural practice recognised for its thoughtful and sustainable approach is seeking an experienced Architectural Technician to join its friendly, collaborative Cambridge studio. With a portfolio spanning education, healthcare, cultural, and residential projects, the team is committed to delivering high-quality work grounded in design integrity and technical excellence. In this role, you will contribute significantly to the technical delivery of a diverse range of projects, working closely with architects, consultants, and external teams to ensure seamless progression from early design stages through to construction.
Key responsibilities
*Produce high-quality technical drawings and detailed construction packages
*Coordinate design information with consultants, contractors, and internal project teams
*Support project delivery across RIBA Stages 3-6
*Ensure compliance with current UK building regulations and relevant technical standards
*Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary design environment
*Assist with the technical delivery of projects during on-site stages
Skills & experience
*Degree or HND in Architectural Technology
*Experience working within a UK architectural practice
*Strong technical detailing skills with robust construction knowledge
*Solid understanding of UK building regulations and construction methods
*Proficiency in Revit, with an awareness of BIM protocols and processes
*Exceptional attention to detail
*Strong communication skills and a proactive, team-focused mindset
