Job Description:
Role: Facilities Assistant
Salary: £25,000 - £27,000
Location: Sheffield, South Yorkshire
Contract: Full time, permanent, hybrid
This position plays an important part in delivering a smooth and effective Facilities service. Typical duties may include:
*
Carrying out basic maintenance and building-fabric tasks
*
Supporting front-of-house and reception services
*
Assisting with routine health & safety activities
You will work closely with the regional Facilities Manager and Assistant Facilities Manager.
Key Working Relationships
You will regularly interact with colleagues across the business, including: Facilities and Building Management, IT, contractors, landlords, partners and other internal support teams.
Main Responsibilities *
Help maintain a professional environment for colleagues and visitors
*
Monitor the Facilities Helpdesk inbox and respond promptly to queries
*
Build awareness of service-level and performance targets
*
Liaise with contractors and monitor progress on assigned tasks
*
Complete basic maintenance duties, such as desk moves, temperature checks and flushing low-usage outlets
*
Support the creation of a safe workplace by identifying issues and escalating them appropriately
*
Understand emergency procedures and participate in annual evacuation drills
*
Stay informed about relevant health & safety policies
*
Assist Client Services with meeting-room setups and AV checks
*
Welcome visitors when required and follow all security procedures, including managing access passes

Experience & Qualifications *
Good overall standard of education, including Maths and English
