Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Huddersfield
Start Date: January 2026
Contract Type: Full-time, Term-time
About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Huddersfield. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
Key Responsibilities:
Provide tailored support to pupils with a range of SEN needs, including autism, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties.
Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and monitor progress.
Foster a positive and nurturing learning environment.
Support pupils with personal care and emotional regulation when required.
Requirements:
Previous experience working with children with SEN (school-based experience preferred).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to supporting learning.
A valid DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
