Science Technician – Romford
Full-time | Temporary Position
Rate: £110 – £140 per day
Start: ASAP or January
A well-regarded secondary school in Romford is seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Science Technician to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong interest in Science and laboratory practice to support a busy and successful department.
About the Science Technician role:
* Prepare and set up equipment, materials and chemicals for Science lessons
* Support practical experiments across Biology, Chemistry and Physics
* Ensure labs, prep rooms and equipment are maintained to a high standard
* Follow all health and safety procedures, risk assessments and COSHH regulations
* Provide technical assistance to teachers during practical sessions
* Help manage stock levels and organise laboratory resources
What the school is looking for:
* Previous experience as a Science Technician (or strong transferable lab experience)
* Good understanding of safe laboratory practice
* Strong organisational and communication skills
* Ability to work efficiently, independently and as part of a team
