JOB TITLE: Junior Video & Animation Designer
LOCATION: Hybrid London
EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Freelance / Contract
RATE: £170 per day
START DATE: January 2026 (TBC)
DURATION: Full weeks or ad hoc days (TBC)
OVERVIEW
A leading creative media owner is seeking a junior-level Video & Animation Designer to support their busy motion graphics creative team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for emerging talent to work alongside experienced motion specialists and develop their skills on commercial projects.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Edit and assemble short-form video content
* Create simple animations, social assets, GIFs, and motion graphics
* Support senior motion designers on overflow tasks
* Adapt existing assets for new formats, campaigns, and platforms
* Work from brand guidelines to maintain visual consistency
* Export, and prep files for delivery
* Contribute creative ideas during team discussions
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
* Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro
* Basic to intermediate After Effects
* Understanding of motion principles and visual storytelling
* Ability to work with templates and adapt pre-built assets
* Strong eye for pacing, typography, colour, and layout
* Portfolio demonstrating motion work (commercial or self-initiated projects)
DESIRABLE SKILLS
* Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
* Interest in developing 2D animation or light 3D skills
