Fabrication and Welding Lecturer
Hourly Rate: £33,000 to £38,487 per annum (dependent on teaching qualification)
Location: South Yorkshire
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Working Hours: 37 hours per week

Day-to-Day of the Role:
*Planning and Delivering Lessons: Teach up to Level 3 in Fabrication and Welding across study programmes, adult learning, and apprenticeships. Create engaging and inclusive learning materials tailored to diverse learner needs.
*Assessing and Supporting Learners: Monitor progress through practical assessments, assignments, and exams. Provide constructive feedback and academic support to help learners succeed.
*Administrative and Professional Duties: Maintain accurate records (e.g. attendance, progress), contribute to team meetings, engage in CPD activities, and uphold safeguarding and health & safety standards.
Requirements:
*Qualifications & Experience: Level 3 or higher in Engineering (Fabrication & Welding). A teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DET) or willingness to work towards one is essential.
*Teaching & Communication Skills: Ability to deliver practical and theoretical content clearly, adapting to different learning styles. Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with learners and colleagues.
*Organisation & Compliance: Capable of managing lesson planning, assessments, and administrative tasks efficiently. Commitment to quality assurance and curriculum development.
