Teaching Assistant
*Annual Salary: £14.63 - £16.35 per hour

*Job Type: Full-time, Temporary (January 2026 - July 2026)
We are seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to join a Year 5 class in Burnley. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about education and thrives in a classroom setting. The position is temporary, running from January 2026 to July 2026, with working hours from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Assist in preparing and setting up resources for lessons and activities.
*Support the teacher in delivering educational material and classroom management.
*Work directly with students in small groups or on a one-to-one basis to reinforce learning concepts presented by teachers.
*Monitor and support the progress and development of the students.
*Help maintain a safe and organised classroom environment for all students.
*Assist with the organisation of school events and activities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Proven experience as a Teaching Assistant, preferably within a Year 5 setting.
*Strong understanding of classroom activities and teaching strategies.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with students and staff.
*Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
*Relevant qualifications in education or a related field are preferred.
