Reed Education is delighted to be recruiting a dedicated Maths Teacher for a special educational needs (SEN) school in Croydon. The successful candidate, ideally starting in January, will teach pupils working at primary-level maths. A qualified primary school teacher is very welcome to apply.

*Position: Maths Teacher (Primary-level maths for secondary-age pupils)
*Start Date: January
*Location: Croydon
*Class Size: Small groups (typically 8–10 students)
?? Key Responsibilities
*Plan and deliver engaging maths lessons tailored to pupils working at primary level.
*Assess and record student progress; adapt teaching to meet individual EHCP targets.
*Promote a nurturing, therapeutic ethos that supports emotional and academic development.
*Collaborate with colleagues, therapists, parents, carers, and external agencies.
*Maintain a safe, inclusive classroom environment.
?? Person Specification
Essential:
*Qualified teacher (Primary or Secondary) with strong maths skills.
*Experience or passion for working with pupils with SEN, especially SEMH.
*Strong classroom management skills and ability to tailor lessons.
*Ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
*Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare.
Desirable:
*Knowledge of therapeutic approaches or small-group teaching.
*Experience in SEN or functional maths curriculum.
