Job Title: Finance Assistant
Location: Glasgow City Centre
Salary: Dependent on Experience

Overview
A leading professional services organisation is seeking an experienced Finance Assistant to support day-to-day financial operations within a busy finance team. This role is ideal for someone who is proactive, detail-focused and committed to delivering excellent service to both internal stakeholders and external clients.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the firm’s financial processes, supporting compliance, and contributing to the effective management of client and office accounts.
Key Responsibilities *Process purchase invoices, fee notes and cheques
*Manage payments of client funds and supplier invoices
*Perform daily bank reconciliations
*Respond to fee earner finance queries promptly and professionally
*Assist with monthly financial analysis
*Prepare regular management reports
*Identify and recommend process improvements
*Ensure compliance with Law Society regulations and internal financial controls
*Support the wider finance team with ad-hoc tasks and administrative duties
Skills, Experience & Competencies Required *Previous experience in a Finance Assistant role
*Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
*Strong academic background
*Clear and confident communication skills
*Ability to work independently, using initiative to solve problems
*Flexible approach to workload and task management
*Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general IT systems
