Reed Accountancy is recruiting on behalf of our client, an industry leading organisation with a strong UK and international market presence. This is a key role within a fast-paced finance team where no two days will be the same! The ideal candidate must be very hands-on, happy to roll their sleeves up and have a good understanding of Sage accounts software.
This role is fully office based, with free parking and good public transport access too.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Manage the day-to-day accounts and credit control function efficiently.
*Handle customer payments and perform account reconciliations, including for international customers.
*Manage purchase invoice control and supplier payments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
*Build and maintain excellent working relationships with customers and suppliers, including having difficult conversations where needed around credit lines, payments and overdue invoices.
*Oversee petty cash and expenses, including those in foreign currencies.
*Perform general office and administrative duties as needed.
*Answer telephone calls, forwarding them appropriately and handling customer enquiries.
*Liaise with third-party service providers to ensure a smooth operating environment.
*Various other ad-hoc tasks as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Proficiency in Sage Accounts is essential.
*Ability to work independently and on own initiative.
*Excellent organisational and multitasking skills.
*Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
*Willingness to assist in various departments as needed.
*Experience in handling both domestic and international accounts is beneficial.
