Job Description:
Requirements:
*3 days per week
*6 hours per day (18 hours total)
*Supporting a college learner
*Ability to interpret in a variety of subject areas
*A professional, reliable and student-centred approach
*Experience working in educational settings preferred
Role responsibilities:
*Provide BSL interpretation during lessons, group work and discussions
*Facilitate communication between the student, peers and teaching staff
*Adapt interpreting style to suit the student’s needs and pace
*Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional standards
*Work collaboratively with the SEN/Support team and college staff
We are looking for someone who is calm, supportive and able to build a positive working relationship with the young person, ensuring they can fully participate in their studies.
