1:1 Teaching Assistant

Immediate Vacancy: 1:1 Teaching Assistant (EYFS – KS2) – Full Time – St. Helen’s

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:
*Providing individualised support to a specific pupil
*Assisting with classroom activities, sensory play, and developmental tasks in line with the Early Years curriculum
*Supporting the pupil’s personal, social, and emotional development
*Monitoring and recording the pupil’s progress, behaviour, and engagement
*Working collaboratively with the class teacher, SENCO, and external agencies to implement individual education plans (IEPs)
*Encouraging positive behaviour and helping to build the pupil’s confidence and independence
*Assisting with personal care, where required
What We’re Looking For:
*Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
*Recent childcare or school-based experience within the last 2 years
*Ability to provide two references confirming your experience with children
*A nurturing, patient, and proactive approach to supporting children’s learning
*Experience working 1-1 with children with additional needs is desirable but not essential
