Job Description:
Job Title: Sales Manager – Sports Nutrition
Location: Home-based / hybrid role (2 days per week in HQ in Stoke-on-Trent). Travel required to customers across the UK and Europe, with regular office visits.
Salary: £55,000–£65,000 per annum
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Permanent Role
Role Overview
This is a key role within the sales team, reporting to the Head of Sales. The position supports our growth strategy by leveraging our market-leading position in the UK sports nutrition sector. You will manage existing accounts and drive new business opportunities across the UK and Europe, working closely with marketing and NPD teams to deliver innovative solutions.
Key Responsibilities
*Manage and grow a portfolio of customer accounts within the sports nutrition channel, ensuring profitability and meeting growth targets.
*Develop strategic plans for customer acquisition and conversion.
*Build and maintain strong relationships at multiple levels within customer organizations.
*Evaluate product mix to improve profitability through NPD initiatives, cost reviews, and complexity reduction.
*Collaborate internally across operations, finance, technical, and product development teams.
*Ensure accurate forecasting aligned with account targets and budgets.
Requirements
*FMCG food & drink experience (essential).
*Health & wellbeing / sports nutrition experience (desirable).
*Minimum 3 years’ account management experience.
*Strong commercial awareness and financial acumen.
*Proven track record of delivering profitable new business.
*Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
*Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
*Strong analytical and organizational abilities.
*Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
*Full UK right to work and clean driving licence.
