Job Description:
Senior Accountant – EMEA Region
*Location: London
*Job Type: Interim - Full-time, hybrid working
*Daily Rate: £400-450/day
Our client, a leading global services organization, is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join their EMEA Finance team.
This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a high-performing Finance function, supporting the EMEA region and reporting directly to the EMEA Corporate Financial Controller.
In this role, you will take ownership of internal reporting under US GAAP for a US-listed parent company, as well as external statutory reporting across multiple EMEA jurisdictions. You will ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements, manage balance sheet reconciliations, and uphold the highest standards of financial governance.

Day-to-Day of the Role:
* Monthly Accounting Close:
*Prepare and post journal entries including payroll reports, prepaid expenses, and expense accruals.
*Manage lease capitalization, fixed assets, and depreciation journals.
*Conduct bank reconciliations and post general ledger adjustments.
*Handle intercompany loan schedules and record monthly interest accruals.
*Perform intercompany reconciliations for multiple EMEA entities.
*Prepare general ledger account reconciliations in line with SOX requirements, including monthly submission into the Blackline environment.
*Assist with enhancing month-end processes and ensuring compliance with US GAAP.
* Statutory Audit Process:
*Assist with preparation and finalization of annual statutory accounts for multiple EMEA entities.
*Liaise directly with external auditors and manage audit deliverables.
* Other Compliance:
*Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual VAT returns and EC Sales for multiple EMEA entities.
*Coordinate with outsourced accountants/tax advisors to deliver other local compliance requirements.
*Perform other duties and ad hoc support as directed by the EMEA Financial Controller.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Qualified accountant with 3+ years PQE (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent (Degree in Accounting).
*Strong technical accounting skills and ability to work across different GAAPs (US GAAP, IFRS, UK GAAP, or other European GAAP).
*Experience performing month-end close processes within industry.
*Excellent knowledge of Excel, including pivot tables and analysis formulas.
*Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
*Ability to work remotely and independently, interacting with colleagues through online platforms (Teams, email).
*Commitment and tolerance for irregular hours due to reporting deadlines.
