Salary: £31,000 per annum + sleep-in allowance
Location: Luton
Contract: Full-time, permanent
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Support Worker to join our team in an EBD children’s home. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties, helping them to achieve positive outcomes and build brighter futures.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide day-to-day support and care for children and young people in the home.
* Lead shifts, ensuring high standards of safeguarding, care, and support.
* Act as a role model, promoting independence, resilience, and positive behaviour.
* Support the Registered Manager in supervising and mentoring junior staff.
* Contribute to care planning, risk assessments, and record keeping.
* Build strong, trusting relationships with young people, families, and external professionals.
* Participate in sleep-in duties as part of the rota.
About You
* Previous experience working in a residential children’s home or similar setting.
* Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
* NVQ Level 3 in Children & Young People (or equivalent) required; Level 4/5 desirable.
* Ability to lead, motivate, and support a team.
* Resilient, patient, and committed to making a difference.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
