About the Role
We are looking for a compassionate and committed Support Worker to join our team, supporting adults with learning disabilities to live fulfilling, independent, and meaningful lives. This role is about empowering individuals, promoting choice, and ensuring dignity in all aspects of care.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide person-centred support to adults with learning disabilities in daily living activities.
* Assist with personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks where required.
* Encourage independence, confidence, and social inclusion.
* Support individuals to access community activities, education, and employment opportunities.
* Build positive relationships with service users, families, and professionals.
* Maintain accurate records and contribute to care plans.
* Ensure safeguarding and health & safety standards are upheld at all times.
About You
* Experience in care or support work (desirable but not essential – full training provided).
* Understanding of learning disabilities and a commitment to person-centred care.
* NVQ Level 2/3 in Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards).
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
* Patience, empathy, and resilience.
* Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins if required.
