Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to join a leading public sector organisation on an interim basis. This is an excellent opportunity to work on high-impact projects and make a real difference.
Key Details
*Contract Length: May 2026
*Location: North Greenwich Office, London (Hybrid – 2–3 days in office, typically Tuesdays and Wednesdays; 2 days WFH)
*Daily Rate: £388.10 PAYE / £529.95 Umbrella
*Start Date: ASAP
*Interview: Single stage via MS Teams
*Equipment: Own laptop required
Role Overview
As Commercial Manager, you will:
*Lead pre-contract procurement activities, including strategy development, tendering, and evaluation.
*Use market knowledge and data insights creatively to support optioneering and informed decision-making.
*Ensure compliance with public sector procurement regulations while delivering value for money.
*Build strong relationships and collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
*Strong background in public sector procurement
*Expertise in pre-contract procurement processes
*Ability to apply market knowledge and data insight in innovative ways
*Experience with SAP Ariba (procurement system)
*Familiarity with NEC contracts (professional services, not construction)
