About the Role
We’re looking for reliable and experienced Janitors to support multiple sites. This is a practical, varied role where you’ll help maintain safe, clean, and well-functioning facilities.
What You’ll Do
*Carry out janitorial and caretaking duties across designated sites.
*Perform basic maintenance and minor repairs (e.g., replacing bulbs, fixing rails, mounting shelves, painting).
*Undertake cleaning tasks, including high-level and carpet cleaning.
*Set up rooms for meetings and training sessions.
*Seasonal duties: leaf clearance and gritting car parks/paths during winter.
*Conduct basic safety checks (fire alarms, lifts, ladders, asbestos monitoring) – training provided.
What We’re Looking For
*Previous experience in janitorial, caretaking, handyman, or portering roles within a medium or large organization.
*Knowledge of cleaning equipment, materials, and methods.
*Physically fit for manual tasks (lifting, loading, bending, pushing).
*Good English communication skills (verbal and written).
*Understanding of Health & Safety (manual handling, working at height, COSHH).
*Reliable attendance and performance record.
*Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle insured for business use (role covers multiple sites).
