Job Description:
Group Credit Manager - Slough - Hybrid (1/2 days from home) - 3/6 month contract - £400 - £450 per day
Job Purpose
The Group Credit Manager is responsible for designing, implementing, and embedding robust, scalable credit management processes across all group entities. The role focuses on standardising best-practice credit control procedures, strengthening internal controls, improving cash flow, and reducing credit risk while supporting commercial objectives.
Key Responsibilities
*Design, implement, and continuously improve group-wide credit management processes
*Standardise credit control procedures across all business units and geographies
*Document end-to-end credit processes, including onboarding, credit approval, billing, collections, and dispute resolution
*Ensure clear ownership, controls, and escalation points within all credit processes
*Lead the rollout of new processes, ensuring adoption and compliance
*Ensure data integrity and consistent reporting across all entities
*Implement KPIs and dashboards to measure process effectiveness (e.g. DSO, overdue %, dispute cycle time)
*Embed regular review cycles to monitor performance and identify root causes of issues
*Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce aged debt and improve cash conversion
*Build and develop a high-performing credit function focused on process excellence
*Define roles and responsibilities clearly within the credit organisation
*Upskill teams in structured problem-solving and continuous improvement
Key Skills & Experience
*Proven experience in a senior credit management or order-to-cash role
*Demonstrated success implementing and standardising processes across multiple entities
*Strong understanding of end-to-end order-to-cash workflows
*Excellent stakeholder management and change leadership skills
*Data-driven, structured, and detail-oriented approach
