Job Description:
Role: Operations Assistant
Location: Sheffield, South Yorkshire
Contract: Full time, permanent, hybrid,
Salary: £25,000 - £27,000
We are looking for a reliable and proactive individual to support the smooth daily running of our office and Facilities function. This role involves a blend of maintenance support, front-of-house activities, and routine health and safety tasks. You’ll work closely with the regional Facilities Manager and Assistant Facilities Manager, as well as teams across the organisation.
Key Relationships

Facilities and Building Management

IT teams

External contractors and landlords
*
Partners and internal support teams
Responsibilities *
Maintain a professional, welcoming environment for colleagues and visitors
*
Monitor the Facilities Helpdesk and provide timely responses
*
Support the delivery of services in line with SLA and KPI expectations
*
Coordinate with contractors and track progress of scheduled work
*
Carry out practical maintenance duties such as desk moves, temperature checks and flushing low-use outlets
*
Proactively identify workplace issues and escalate them appropriately
*
Understand and assist with emergency procedures, including evacuation drills
*
Keep up-to-date with health & safety guidelines and internal policies
*
Assist with meeting room setups and daily AV checks
*
Greet visitors when required and manage access passes in line with security protocols
Additional reasonable tasks may be requested as part of the role.

Experience & Qualifications *
Good standard of general education, including Maths and English

Understanding of customer service principles
