Job Description:
My client are seeking an office-based Payroll Clerk on a temporary to permanent basis in Plymouth.
Responsibilities will include:
· Supporting and working with the payroll team to assist in the process the 4-weekly payroll.
· Supporting the team in the development and implementation of all payroll processes and routines for both hourly and salaried colleagues
· Oversee and check key areas of the payroll activity, to ensure accuracy and compliance including new starters, promotions, and leavers
· Prepare and input data into the payroll system.
· Production of payroll reports
· Resolving payroll queries, whilst providing excellent customer service
· Support key business projects to provide guidance on Payroll processes and legislative requirements.
· Ad hoc Admin /Office duties.
Person Specification:
My client are looking to appoint a Payroll Clerk who may have prior payroll experience of working in a dedicated team and have been involved in day-to-day processing of data. This will be a challenging, yet highly rewarding role that will operate within a fast-paced environment. You will have:
· Up to date knowledge of using IT computer systems.
· The ability to communicate with colleagues of all levels
· Strong excel skills
· A good eye for detail.
· The ability to work to strict deadlines.
· A strong understanding of confidentiality and GDPR.
· Excellent teamwork, plus the ability to work on your own initiative.
· A flexible and adaptable approach to work.

Hours: Monday – Friday, 08:45am – 17:30pm.
