Job Description:
Secondary Design & Technology Teacher
Milk Education are seeking a skilled, creative, and resilient Design & Technology Teacher to join a forward-thinking department in a Secondary school in Liverpool. The role will involve teaching KS3 and KS4 Design & Technology, delivering both practical and theory-based lessons across relevant specialisms (such as Product Design, Resistant Materials, Graphics, or Engineering). This is a full-time position starting as soon as possible, with the opportunity to become permanent for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities: * Deliver high-quality Design Technology lessons in line with the national curriculum
* Plan and deliver engaging practical and theory-based lessons
* Ensure a safe and well-managed workshop environment, adhering to health and safety requirements
* Inspire creativity, problem-solving, and independent thinking
* Assess student progress and adapt teaching strategies to support learning
* Work collaboratively with colleagues to support curriculum development and student outcomes
* Uphold the values and standards of Milk Education and our partner schools
Requirements: * Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* Specialism in Design & Technology – able to teach KS3 and KS4
* Strong classroom and workshop management skills
* Sound knowledge of health and safety procedures within a D&T setting
* Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
* Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one through Milk Education)
