Corporate Lawyer – Senior Associate / Director Level
Location: Leeds (hybrid working available)
Salary: Up to £180,000
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Corporate Lawyer to join an award winning, leading full-service legal team. You will act on a variety of high-profile, cross-border corporate matters for national and international clients, including private equity sponsors, listed companies and private investment vehicles.
You will work on sophisticated transactions spanning mergers and acquisitions (M&A), private equity investments, initial public offerings (IPOs), public takeovers and other strategic corporate matters. This role is ideal for lawyers who want exposure to complex, high-value work with global reach outside of London, backed by senior support and collaborative team culture.
Key Responsibilities
*Lead, manage and advise on complex corporate transactions, including public and private M&A, joint ventures, equity investments and reorganisations.
*Conduct detailed legal due diligence and collaborate with internal and external advisers in structuring deals.
*Draft and negotiate key corporate documentation such as share purchase agreements, shareholder agreements and related transaction documents.
*Provide commercial, risk-aware legal advice to clients on corporate governance and regulatory matters.
*Build and maintain strong client relationships and contribute to business development initiatives where appropriate.
*Mentor junior lawyers and support team development activities.
Candidate Profile
*Qualified solicitor with minimum 4 years’ PQE in corporate law, ideally with strong experience in M&A and corporate transactions.
*Demonstrated capability to manage full transactional life cycles with autonomy.
*Excellent drafting, negotiation and commercial advisory skills.
*Strong client-facing skills with a commercial mindset and ability to work collaboratively across teams.
*Ability to prioritise work under pressure, meet deadlines and handle a varied workload.
