Contract: Long-term/Permanent

The Opportunity:
Long Term Futures are seeking an experienced and compassionate Primary Teacher with extensive SEN expertise to join a supportive and forward-thinking school in Tower Hamlets. This role is ideal for a teacher who has a proven track record of supporting pupils with complex needs-including Autism, SEMH, behavioural needs, global delay, and communication challenges. You will be leading a small, well-resourced class and working closely with a skilled support team to create a safe, structured, and inclusive environment where every child can thrive.
Your Key Responsibilities:
*Teach a differentiated Primary curriculum to pupils with diverse and complex SEN needs
*Plan, deliver, and adapt lessons to meet EHCP targets and individual learning goals
*Lead and collaborate with Teaching Assistants to ensure consistent, high-quality support
*Foster a safe, supportive, and trauma-informed classroom environment
*Build strong relationships with pupils, modelling positive behaviour and emotional regulation
*Work closely with SENCO, therapists, and outside agencies to support holistic development
*Monitor and record progress, contributing to assessments and review meetings
Requirements:
*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - Essential
*Significant, hands-on experience with SEN pupils (Autism, SEMH, behavioural challenges, SLCN, MLD/SLD)
*Strong behavioural management and de-escalation skills
*Ability to differentiate learning for a wide range of abilities and needs
*Patient, resilient, and committed to inclusive, child-centred education
*Understanding of Safeguarding, EHCP processes, and multi-agency collaboration
