Qualified Paraplanner
Location: Knutsford / Hybrid
Salary: £30,000 - £45,000 (depending on qualifications & technical knowledge)


An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Paraplanner to join a well-established financial planning practice in Knutsford. This is a key role supporting the Partner/Practice Manager in the day-to-day running of the practice while working closely with advisers, administrators and fellow paraplanners to ensure high-quality, compliant advice and efficient operational processes.


This role would suit an experienced paraplanner who enjoys technical work, mentoring others and playing an integral part in the wider success of the business.


Role Purpose
*Support the Partner/Practice Manager in the day-to-day running of the practice
*Assist administrators and paraplanners in delivering efficient operational processes
*Guide and support advisers to maintain excellent quality of advice documentation


Key Responsibilities
*Support training, development and knowledge-sharing across the team, evaluating skill sets and providing feedback
*Fully analyse client requirements, develop cashflow models and accurately maintain client data
*Research and analyse financial products to meet client objectives
*Construct holistic financial planning solutions across investment, retirement, tax and estate planning
*Prepare suitability letters and reports for a wide range of cases, maintaining full responsibility for client files and back-office records
*Process applications accurately, including EBS submissions and advice sets, recording MI on Salesforce
*Ensure all documentation is checked and correctly submitted to providers, clients and third parties
*Progress applications with ceding schemes, advisers and clients, ensuring timely completion via case tracking
*Prepare client review documentation including updated cashflow models, performance reviews, analytics and external plan summaries
*Liaise with administrators to produce documentation for client meetings and respond to adviser/client queries
*Attend client meetings with the Partner when required and deal with general client queries
*Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure clients are kept informed throughout the advice process
*Maintain up-to-date knowledge of templates, advice notes and process changes


Person Specification
Knowledge & Experience
*Minimum of 2 years’ paraplanning experience within an IFA or Wealth Management environment
*Level 4 Diploma (RO1–RO6) achieved or working towards
*Strong experience using research tools such as Analytics, Voyant or similar
*Proven experience within the pension transfer market
*Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
*Experience using Salesforce and technical platforms beneficial
