Job Title: QTS Tutor Salford
Location: Salford (community-based or in-home sessions)
Pay Rate: £25 - £30 per hour
Job Type: Part-Time | Flexible Hours
About the Role
Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated and compassionate tutor with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) to deliver tailored lessons to students in Salford. You will work with students across a variety of subjects, providing one-to-one support to help them achieve their academic goals. This role is ideal for a passionate educator who thrives on personalising lessons to meet individual student needs, and who is eager to make a positive impact on students educational journeys.
Key Responsibilities
Provide one-to-one tuition in core subjects such as Maths, English, and Science, tailored to each students learning style and needs.
Adapt teaching methods and resources to ensure content is accessible, engaging, and supports students progress.
Support students in building academic confidence, improving subject knowledge, and preparing for exams.
Build strong, trusting relationships with students to create a positive and motivating learning environment.
Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to parents, carers, or other professionals involved in the students education.
Develop and implement individualised learning plans that cater to students’ academic and personal development.
Essential Requirements
Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
At least 1 year of experience teaching or tutoring in a one-to-one or small group setting.
Right to work in the UK.
Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
Ability to work independently and manage a flexible tutoring schedule.
Desirable Qualifications
Experience tutoring students at GCSE or Key Stage 3 level.
Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including Autism, ADHD, or SEMH.
Strong communication skills with the ability to work closely with families and other educational professionals.
Additional Information
Sessions are typically scheduled during school hours, with flexibility for after-school or evening sessions.
