HR Officer
*Hourly Rate: £16.96 per hour
*Location: London
*Job Type: Full-time, 3-month contract
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic HR Officer to join our client’s Human Resources team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive HR support across the entire employee lifecycle, ensuring efficient and effective HR practices that support the organisation’s goals.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Recruitment: Collaborate with managers to plan and execute recruitment campaigns, ensuring alignment with best practices and organisational policies.
*Onboarding: Manage all pre-employment checks, prepare and issue employment contracts, and ensure smooth integration of new starters into the organisation.
*Payroll: Handle monthly payroll adjustments, coordinate supporting documentation, and assist with payroll-related audits.
*Reporting and MI: Generate regular and ad-hoc HR reports using HR Information Systems, ensuring data protection compliance.
*General HR Administration: Maintain accurate HR records in compliance with GDPR, manage transactional HR actions, and respond to HR-related queries.
*Advice & Delivery: Provide guidance on HR policies and procedures, support HR Managers with employee relations issues, and contribute to the development of HR policies.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Proven experience in a busy HR function, capable of handling high levels of administration including recruitment and payroll.
*Proficiency in IT applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and HR Information Systems.
*GCSEs in English and Maths at grade A-C or equivalent.
Essential Skills:
*Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
*Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a keen attention to detail.
*Effective planning and organisational skills, capable of managing own workload.
*Ability to handle confidential information appropriately and knowledge of data protection and information security guidelines.
*Proficient in interpreting and applying HR policies and procedures.
