Location: Hybrid/Remote, with some travel required based Hereford initially 6 months FTC.
I am looking for an experienced HR Operations Manager to join our team at a pivotal time. This role is ideal for someone who has operated in fast-paced, high-change environments, particularly within organisations experiencing frequent acquisitions and integrations.
This is a hands-on role, well-suited to someone who is comfortable working through transition, managing competing demands, and being honest about the realities of workload and pace.
HR Operations Manager Key Responsibilities:
*Leading HR operations across a multi-division business with ongoing acquisition activity
*Supporting the integration of newly acquired businesses, including onboarding employees where contracts, data, or processes may not yet exist
*Ensuring contracts of employment are issued accurately and at pace for new starters
*Building and maintaining a scalable HR operations function that can absorb future acquisitions
*Working closely with HR leadership to improve retention through effective integration
*Operating confidently in an environment of constant change and shifting priorities
*Maintaining robust compliance across all HR processes
*Owning and improving employee data integrity across systems
*Developing and maintaining basic dashboards and board-level reporting
*Improving accessibility, quality, and consistency of people data
*Supporting the evolution of HR systems, with Sage implementation planned for 2027
HR Operations Manager Key Responsibilities:
*Proven experience in an HR Operations role within a fast-paced, high-growth organisation
*Hands-on experience supporting frequent acquisitions, particularly smaller businesses
*Strong understanding of what "good" looks like when integrating new starters from acquired organisations
*Highly data literate and confident managing large volumes of employee data and improving data quality
*Comfortable producing clear, simple dashboards for senior leadership and board reporting
*Strong focus on compliance and risk management
*Commercially minded
*Confident working through ambiguity and change
*Practical, solutions focused, and not afraid to roll up your sleeves
*Excellent stakeholder communication skills
