Job Description:
Enterprise Architecture Modelling SME (DV CLEARED)
*Location: Basingstoke - fully on site
*Job Type: Contract (6 months - likely extension)
*Rate: £750 per day (inside IR35) Umbrella rate
*Mandatory: Active DV Clearance
We are seeking an Enterprise Architecture Modelling SME to join a dynamic, multi-skilled agile team. This role is ideal for a skilled Enterprise Architect with excellent interpersonal skills, ready to work across both legacy and new technologies as part of a live system transition programme. Day-to-day of the role:
*Create digital or physical representations of objects, characters, or systems to meet specific project requirements.
*Create and manage comprehensive enterprise architecture models across the business, application, and technology layers using the standardized ArchiMate language.
*Ensure that IT initiatives and infrastructure decisions directly support and align with the organization’s strategic objectives and business processes.
*Produce tailored viewpoints and visual diagrams (e.g., capability maps, process flows, application cooperation views) to effectively communicate architectural concepts and their implications to various stakeholders.
*Conduct impact analyses, gap analyses, and scenario modelling to evaluate the effects of proposed changes, identify potential risks, and optimize resources and processes.
*Work closely with business analysts, project managers, data architects, and engineers to gather requirements, facilitate workshops, and ensure that delivered solutions align with defined architectural blueprints.
*Generate detailed documentation and reports automatically from the models, reducing manual effort and supporting knowledge transfer.
*Use the ArchiMate modelling language to visualize, analyse, and describe complex enterprise systems, ensuring alignment between business goals and IT strategies.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Professional knowledge and demonstrable experience in applying the ArchiMate 3.x standard and its various viewpoints (e.g., motivation, strategy, implementation, and migration extensions).
*Familiarity with enterprise architecture modelling tools and software (e.g., Archi, Sparx EA, BizzDesign).
*Ability to think abstractly, visualize complex systems, and perform robust analysis.
*Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts.
*Strong determination to tackle and solve problems, balancing artistic vision with practicality.
