Audit Manager / Senior Manager - Bristol

Clark Wood are currently working with a top 10 accountancy firm, renowned for delivering high-quality audit and assurance services to commercial clients, who are looking to recruit an Audit Manager to join their expanding team.

You will manage and develop a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring all compliance requirements are met while building and maintaining long-term relationships with both new and existing clients.

Responsible for overseeing multiple audits simultaneously, you will ensure each engagement is appropriately resourced and that staff have the support needed to deliver the high levels of service clients expect.

You will review the planning, fieldwork, and completion of statutory audits, including substantial group structures and clients from specialist sectors. You will take ownership of assignments under your control for partner/director review, flagging any issues for discussion with clients ahead of key meetings and presentations.

Staff management will also form a key part of your role. You will support the training and development of the audit team, ensuring staff are properly supervised and providing constructive feedback at the end of each assignment. You will also conduct periodic appraisals to help develop team capability.

The ideal candidate will be ACA or ACCA qualified, with proven experience managing the audit process across multiple clients. Strong communication skills, coupled with a personable and professional manner, are essential given the client-facing nature of the role.
