Job Description:
This role could be ideal if you’re looking to build a long-term career in technical support and networking- with structured training, real responsibility, and progression.
You’ll support customers across a wide range of public and private sector businesses (including retirement communities, and universities); working with integrated security systems, such as CCTV infrastructure, IP networks, and IP door entry/access control systems.
You’ll provide remote technical support, troubleshooting issues across structured networks and wireless links using remote access tools to diagnose and resolve software-related faults.
As your confidence grows, you’ll take ownership of more complex technical cases and support the team during critical incidents, such as service outages, working calmly to deadlines.
Alongside the technical work, you’ll complete clear and accurate documentation and deliver excellent customer service; helping to maintain the company’s reputation for quality, care, and reliability.
Training and development
The business invests heavily in training, mentoring, and development, and graduates have historically done very well there.
You’ll complete a structured programme of training courses to help you become a recognised technical expert, with genuine long-term career progression supported at every stage.
What you’ll get
Salary is between £28,000 – 30,000 depending on experience,
Benefits include: Difference Maker Awards, Holiday Buy Scheme, Life and Accident Insurance, Medical Cash Plan, Cycle to Work, Birthday holiday, Perks and Employee Assistance Program.
Hours are Monday to Friday 8am-5pm.
What you’ll need
Your degree should cover hardware and networking; and you will need a decent understanding of networking fundamentals, topology, and structured networks.
Some knowledge of the following is ideal: structured networks and wireless technologies; virtual servers, and cloud-hosted environments.
You’ll need to be happy dealing with people, and be well organised and proactive.
You will need to be based within commutable distance of Mansfield (for example, Chesterfield, Nottingham, or Sheffield). And a full-driving licence is essential.
