Our client is currently seeking a reliable Weighbridge Operator / Yard Man to join their busy site in Hartlepool. This is an excellent opportunity for a dependable individual looking for stable, full-time work through a reputable agency.

Role Overview You will be responsible for operating the weighbridge and supporting general yard operations. The role requires attention to detail, good communication skills, and a strong focus on health and safety.

Key DutiesWeighbridge Duties

*Operating the weighbridge system accurately for inbound and outbound vehicles


*Issuing weighbridge tickets and completing relevant documentation


*Checking loads and reporting any discrepancies


*Communicating site rules and instructions clearly to drivers


Yard Duties

*Managing vehicle movements within the yard


*Assisting with loading and unloading where required


*Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised yard


*Carrying out basic vehicle and site checks


Health & Safety *Following all site health, safety, and environmental procedures


*Wearing PPE at all times as required


*Reporting hazards, near misses, and incidents promptly


Candidate RequirementsEssential

*Previous experience in a yard, industrial, or logistics environment


*Good attention to detail and basic numeracy skills


*Strong communication skills


*Basic IT skills


*Ability to work long shifts


Desirable

*Previous weighbridge experience


*Forklift or plant experience (training may be provided)
