HW Finance are pleased to be working with a Professional Services business, in their search for a new Financial Accountant to join the team in Leeds.


About the role:
This is a varied reporting role, suitable for someone recently qualified and looking to progress their career.


Key Responsibilities:
*Be responsible for the month end close process, working closely with stakeholders across the wider team
*Prepare accurate and timely weekly, monthly and annual financial statements
*Own associated balance sheet reconciliations and support monthly balance sheet reporting and analysis
*Deliver insightful financial analysis and commentary to support senior management
*Maintain strong balance sheet control through monthly account reconciliation
*Identify and implement improvements to financial processes, controls and reporting systems
*Support the year end audit process and external auditors, to ensure a smooth reporting cycle
*Ensure compliance with financial obligations and internal control standards
*Work with stakeholders across Commercial and Operations teams to ensure accurate accounting
*Support Commercial Finance in understanding results and the drivers to budget/forecast


About You:
*ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified (or equivalent)
*Strong management accounting/financial reporting or Audit background
*High attention to detail
*Strong Microsoft skills, particularly Excel
*Ability to interpret large amounts of financial data
*Strong stakeholder management skills, with ability to build and manage relationships
*Excellent communication, analytical and presentation skills
*Professional and positive approach
