?I am working with a client based in the centre of Leeds who are looking to add an Accounts Assistant to their small finance team. Supporting and reporting directly to the Finance Controller you will play a key part and have visibility to all aspects of transactional finance.
Duties and responsibilities to include:


Credit control in relation to customer payments
*Maintenance of sales ledger.
*Payment of purchase invoices.
*Maintenance of purchase ledger.
*Bank reconciliations.
*VAT returns.
*Issuing invoices to customers.
*Accruals & prepayments and other journals.
*Any additional duties as needed by the FC.


This role will suit individuals who have the following skills and experiences:
*Degree level of education – STEM degrees desirable.
*Prior experience of a finance role at a similar level.
*A working knowledge of Sage is essential along with good general IT capabilities.
*Strong communication and organisational skills.
*Strong academic background.
