Production Planner – Rotherham

Salary: c£38,000
Elevation Procurement & Supply Chain is partnering exclusively with a leading manufacturer in Rotherham to recruit an experienced Production Planner.
We are looking for a Production Planner with proven experience in fast-moving, heavy manufacturing environments, who can prioritise workflow, optimise production processes, and ensure customer orders are delivered on time, in full.

Duties & Responsibilities of the Production Planner:
*Prioritise and manage workflow throughout the production process to meet sales demand, navigating production capacity and raw material constraints
*Work closely with sales and production to ensure orders are scheduled, produced, and dispatched accurately and on time
*Maintain and update production schedules using in-house systems, and support future-state MRP planning and scheduling activities
*Contribute to capacity planning, considering constraints such as manpower, materials, and machinery
*Ensure deliveries meet agreed dates and notify relevant teams of potential delays
*Allocate inventory to sales orders or further production processes, ensuring specifications are met
*Maintain target stock levels of raw, intermediate, and finished goods, and support slow-moving stock resolution
*Liaise with shipping to coordinate dispatches and provide documentation, including packing lists and analysis certificates
*Be a visible presence on the shop floor and maintain visual management tracking systems
Skills & Experience required:
*Minimum 3 years’ experience in production scheduling/control in a fast-moving manufacturing environment.
*Minimum 3 years’ experience in an MRP-driven scheduling role
*Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
