Laboratory Support Coordinator – Technical Services
Location: Onsite role covering QE Gateshead, South Tyneside, and Sunderland Trust (based in Newcastle or surrounding area).
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Biomedical Scientist or Application Support Scientist to join our Technical Services team as a Laboratory Support Coordinator. This team provides technical service support for pathology laboratory solutions, primarily focused on chemistry and immunoassay analysers, as well as pre- and post-analytical systems.
You will play a key role in:
*Supporting installation projects and system modifications
*Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues
*Delivering user training and customer support
*Attending customer review meetings
*Building strong relationships to ensure high standards of service
What We’re Looking For
*Strong background in medical diagnostics, ideally with experience in hospital laboratories or diagnostic solution providers
*Skilled in troubleshooting and implementing best-in-class laboratory practices
*Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and plan schedules and travel autonomously
*Resilient and adaptable in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
*Excellent analytical skills and confidence working with technical and numeric data
*Commitment to maintaining technical knowledge and delivering exceptional customer service
