About the Role
We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Office Support & Compliance Officer to join our busy education recruitment team. This is a varied and rewarding role, ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, has excellent attention to detail, and understands the importance of safeguarding and compliance within education.
You will play a vital role in supporting our consultants, ensuring all candidates are fully vetted and compliant, assisting with resourcing new talent, and supporting day-to-day recruitment activity.
Key Responsibilities
Compliance & Vetting
*Supporting the compliance process for all candidates and staff
*Ensuring vetting files are fully up to date and meet education safeguarding standards
*Checking vetting status ahead of candidate interviews
*Applying for, chasing, and recording professional references
*Processing and monitoring DBS checks
*Maintaining accurate and compliant records at all times
Resourcing & Candidate Attraction
*Attracting new candidates to join our team through various recruitment channels
*Screening candidates to ensure relevant experience and suitability
*Inviting suitable candidates to interview
Interview Support
*Supporting consultants during the interview process
*Conducting interviews alongside consultants when required
Bookings & Relationship Building
*Taking inbound calls from nurseries and schools requesting cover or bookings
*Building and maintaining positive relationships with clients and candidates
*Filling bookings when consultants are unavailable, ensuring client needs are met promptly and professionally
About You
*Highly organised with strong attention to detail
*Confident communicator, both over the phone and face-to-face
*Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
*Able to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
*Previous experience in recruitment, compliance, education, or office support is desirable but not essential
*A strong understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality (training can be provided)
*A driver is essential due to our location
*Working hours 7:15am-4:30pm Monday to Thursday and 7:15am-4pm on a Friday.
