An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Legal Counsel to join a highly respected and forward-thinking organisation operating across multiple sectors. This is a key role within a dynamic legal team, providing expert advice on a wide range of legal and commercial matters. Job Title: Interim Legal Counsel
Contract: 3 - 6 month contract
Location: Birmingham
Working Pattern: Hybrid, 3 days in office and 2 days WFH
Key Responsibilities of a Interim Legal Counsel:
*Provide pragmatic and timely legal advice on a broad range of commercial and contractual matters.
*Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts including supplier agreements, customer contracts, and partnership arrangements.
*Support the business on compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
*Advise on risk management and support business decision-making to mitigate potential legal exposure.
*Assist with dispute resolution and liaise with external legal counsel where necessary.
*Keep up to date with legal and regulatory developments and advise stakeholders accordingly.
*Work collaboratively with internal teams to support strategic initiatives and projects.
Essential Skills & Experience
*UK Qualified Solicitor (or equivalent) with solid post-qualification experience (PQE).
*Strong background in commercial contracts gained in private practice or in-house environment.
*Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
*Ability to work under pressure, manage competing priorities, and provide clear, practical advice.
*Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
