General Cleaner / Housekeeper
*Job Type: Part-Time & Full-Time
*Location: Various locations including Stretford, Trafford Park, Longsight, Openshaw, Claytonbrook, Newton Heath, North Manchester, Tameside, Didsbury, Oldham, Sedgley Park
*Payrate: £13.49 per hour
We are seeking dedicated General Cleaners / Housekeepers to join our Business Support Services team. This role is crucial in maintaining a safe and hygienic environment across various premises. Successful candidates will be required to undergo GMP vetting prior to commencement.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Sweep, wet mop, and polish designated floor areas.
*Vacuum, dust, and polish furniture, fixtures, and fittings.
*Clean external areas, including dog kennels and cell areas as required.
*Strip and apply floor polish; wash walls as needed.
*Replenish towels, soap, and toilet rolls.
*Perform high dusting in areas out of normal reach.
*Daily clean all sanitary appliances and fittings.
*Empty waste bins, carry them to collection points, wash, and re-line bins.
*Ensure safe use of all equipment and maintain it in clean condition.
*Report any faults to the supervisor.
*Participate in relevant training sessions.
*Provide cover for colleagues within and across divisions as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Previous cleaning experience within a medium to large-scale organisation.
*Good understanding of the English language for verbal and written communication.
*Physically fit to carry out cleaning duties including lifting, bending, walking, pushing, and handling equipment.
*Understanding of Health & Safety, particularly COSHH requirements and safe use of equipment.
*Good attendance and performance record.
