Class 1 / Class 2 HIAB Driver
Location: Begwary, Wyboston
Salary: £36,000 – £38,000 DOE
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Are you an experienced HIAB Driver with a strong work ethic and a passion for delivering excellent service?
We’re working with a leading company in the construction support sector who are seeking a skilled Class 1 or Class 2 Hiab Driver to join their growing team.
You’ll be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods using a Hiab-equipped vehicle, ensuring all loads are securely handled and delivered to sites across the UK. Some overnight stays may be required.
Key Responsibilities:
*Operate a Hiab truck to transport materials safely and in compliance with road regulations.
*Load and unload goods using the lorry-mounted crane.
*Secure loads using straps, chains, and ratchets.
*Carry out pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections.
*Maintain accurate delivery documentation.
*Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues to coordinate deliveries.
Requirements:
*Valid Class 1 or Class 2 HGV licence
*ALLMI D1+E Hiab qualification
*Valid CSCS Labourer’s Card
*Proven experience operating a lorry loader and securing flatbed loads
*Forklift Counterbalance or Moffett licence (desirable)
*Experience in the merchant timber, plant, or non-mechanical equipment sectors (desirable)
