Finance Analyst - 3-6 Month Contract Liverpool | Temporary | Hybrid Working
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Analyst to join a purpose-led organisation operating within the research sector. This role sits within a collaborative Financial Planning & Reporting team and supports a portfolio of research and project accounts, providing accurate financial reporting, insight, and compliance across grant-funded activity.
This position is ideal for a detail-oriented finance professional who enjoys working with data, supporting stakeholders, and ensuring financial information is both accurate and meaningful.
The Role You will play a key role in producing financial information across research and project accounts, supporting month-end processes, budgeting, and reporting. Working closely with Finance Business Partners and budget holders, you will ensure project spend is accurately recorded, compliant with funding requirements, and clearly reported.
*Preparing financial claims and reporting packs
*Carrying out reconciliations and variance analysis
*Posting and reviewing journals
*Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and audit activity.
*Contribute to process improvements and system development, helping to enhance reporting quality and efficiency, while building strong relationships with both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
About You This role would suit someone with experience in financial reporting, reconciliations, and management information, ideally within a project, grants, or regulated environment. You’ll have strong Excel and systems skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-finance colleagues.
