Job Description:
Some people get a kick from closing a big deal, others from balancing a budget.
And then there are the rare few who genuinely enjoy chasing overdue invoices, reconciling accounts, and making sure everything in the ledger adds up. If that sounds like you, keep reading.
This business in North Leeds is looking for an Accounts Receivable Assistant / Credit Controller to take ownership of their debtor accounts, keep billing running smoothly, and ensure payments are collected efficiently.
You’ll be working 24 hours per week, managing debtor accounts, supporting billing and income collection, and maintaining professional relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. It’s a position for someone who likes ownership, structure, and seeing results from their work.
What you’ll be doing:
*Own the accounts receivable process, including cash book processing, debtor reconciliations, and preparation of aged debtor reports.
*Manage credit control activity: chase overdue balances, issue statements and reminders, agree payment plans, and escalate accounts in line with credit policy, including liaising with legal advisers where required.
*Support accurate and timely billing cycles and the collection of additional income, ensuring all records and system notes are up to date.
*Handle finance-related queries professionally, maintaining clear communication records and building effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
*Assist with funding administration, finance projects, and general finance and administrative duties as required by the Financial Controller.
*Work in line with organisational policies and professional standards, including safeguarding, confidentiality, GDPR, and workload management, while contributing positively to the wider organisation.
What’s in it for you?
*An annual salary of up to £16,200 (£27k FTE) depending on experience
*8 days annual leave (28 days FTE)
*Enhanced pension contribution
*Employee wellbeing packages
*Death in service
