Teaching Assistant - EYFS / Reception - Class Cover Required - Deptford An inclusive Primary School in Deptford is recruiting a capable and confident Teaching Assistant to work full-time in their Reception class. This Teaching Assistant role requires someone who is happy to take on responsibility and cover the class on Mondays and Fridays, delivering pre-planned lessons and maintaining a positive learning environment.
The successful Teaching Assistant will work closely with the EYFS team, supporting children’s learning, behaviour, and emotional development. On non-cover days, the role focuses on general Teaching Assistant support within the Reception classroom.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will:
* Support pupils in Reception with learning, play, and routine

* Cover the class teacher two days per week using set planning

* Confidently lead the classroom when covering

* Promote positive behaviour and engagement

* Support EYFS assessments and daily activities

We are looking for a Teaching Assistant who:
* Has solid EYFS Teaching Assistant experience

* Has experience covering classes or holds HLTA status (desirable)

* Is confident, organised, and reliable

* Can manage a classroom calmly and effectively

* Works well as part of a team and independently
