A welcoming and well-known international business in Woking is looking for a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their finance team on a temporary basis to assist with a new system implementation. What you’ll be doing:
*This role has been created to support the team during a finance system change and is expected to last around 5–8 weeks. You’ll be helping to keep things running smoothly in a busy purchase ledger function.
*Processing supplier invoices and matching them to purchase orders and goods received
*Handling a high volume of invoices across multiple ledgers
*Answering supplier queries by phone and email
*Reconciling supplier statements and resolving any differences
*Running two payment cycles each month
*Processing employee expenses and company credit card transactions
*Setting up new suppliers and checking details are correct
*Allocating manual payments made outside of BACS runs
*Working closely with colleagues and suppliers to sort out queries quickly
*Helping manage the shared purchase ledger inbox
What we’re looking for:
*At least 1 years’ experience in a Purchase Ledger role
*Confident with three-way matching
*Comfortable working in a busy, fast-moving environment
*Organised, accurate, and good at juggling priorities
*Happy to pick up the phone and speak with suppliers
*Confident IT user, with Sage experience a bonus
