Accounts Payable Clerk
Contract: 6 -Month Fixed -Term (with potential to become permanent)
Salary: £25,000 – £26,000 per annum

Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail -oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our Finance
team on a 6 -month fixed -term contract. There is a strong opportunity for this role to
become permanent for the right candidate.
The successful candidate will support the Accounts Payable function, ensuring accurate
processing of supplier invoices, timely payments, and compliance with internal controls.
The role will involve working with Sage Intacct as the accounting system and Monday.com
for workflow and task management.
Key Responsibilities
• Process supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner using Sage Intacct
• Match invoices to purchase orders and investigate discrepancies
• Ensure invoices are approved in line with company authorisation procedures
• Prepare and assist with weekly payment runs (BACS, CHAPS, and manual payments)
• Maintain supplier master data, including bank details and payment terms
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve queries promptly
• Use Monday.com to manage invoice workflows, approvals, and outstanding tasks
• Support month -end Accounts Payable close activities
• Ensure VAT compliance and accurate coding of invoices
• Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external suppliers
Skills and Experience Required
• Previous experience in an Accounts Payable or Finance role
• Experience using Sage Intacct or similar accounting software
• Familiarity with workflow or task management tools such as Monday.com
• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast -paced environment
• Good Excel and general IT skills
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Desirable Skills
• Experience working in a multi -entity or growing organisation
• Understanding of UK VAT rules and financial controls
• Experience with purchase order processes
