Job Description:
Robot Operator – Concrete Manufacturing Location: Newark
Pay: £13.58 per hour + shift allowance
Hours: Monday–Friday, rotating shifts
(06:00–14:00 / 13:30–22:00 / 22:00–06:30)
Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a well-established concrete manufacturing business in Newark to recruit a Robot Operator to join their production team.
This role is ideal for someone with manufacturing or industrial experience who enjoys working with automated machinery in a fast-paced environment. The business offers long-term stability, structured training, and progression opportunities.
Key Responsibilities: * Robot Operation – operating and monitoring robotic machinery used in the concrete manufacturing process.
* Machine Setup & Adjustment – preparing equipment, loading programmes, and making basic adjustments to ensure smooth operation.
* Production Monitoring – overseeing output to ensure products meet required quality standards.
* Quality Checks – inspecting finished products and reporting faults or inconsistencies.
* Material Handling – loading raw materials and removing finished products using mechanical handling equipment.
* Fault Reporting – identifying and escalating machine issues or breakdowns to engineering teams.
* Health & Safety – working in line with site safety procedures and wearing PPE at all times.
* Housekeeping – maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work area.
* Teamwork – working closely with colleagues to meet daily production targets.
Person Specification: * Previous experience in a manufacturing, production, or industrial environment.
* Comfortable working with automated or semi-automated machinery.
* Able to follow set processes, work to targets, and complete basic production records.
* Strong awareness of health & safety in an industrial setting.
* Reliable, hands-on, and willing to learn.
Desirable (but not essential): * Experience operating robotic or CNC-style machinery.
* Forklift Truck or Overhead Crane licence.
* Experience within concrete, heavy manufacturing, or construction-related environments.
* Confident using hand and power tools.
