Alecto Recruitment are proud to be partnering with a rapidly expanding leader in digital signage and commercial AV solutions. This is a company delivering high-impact technology into retail, hospitality, stadiums, and corporate environments nationwide - from large-format LED displays to interactive touchscreen systems and digital menu boards.
Due to continued growth, they are now looking for an AV Installation Engineer to join their Northern-based team, operating from the Stockport area and working on exciting projects across the UK.
This is a hands-on, field-based role offering real progression, variety, and the opportunity to help develop the next generation of AV Engineers.
The Role - What You’ll Be Doing
As an AV Installation Engineer, you’ll play a key role in delivering professional, high-quality AV installations on commercial sites nationwide. You’ll work closely with Project Managers and Technical teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and to specification.
Your responsibilities will include:
Installing and commissioning AV and digital signage systems across commercial, industrial, and retail environments
Working primarily across the North, with UK-wide travel as required
Acting as the on-site technical lead, fault-finding and resolving issues efficiently
Supporting and mentoring a Trainee AV Engineer on a daily basis
Completing installation reports and documentation to SLA standards
Ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety procedures, particularly on large-scale sites
What the Client is Looking For
Essential Experience:
Proven experience in an AV Installation / AV Engineering role
Hands-on installation of displays, projectors, and commercial AV systems
Knowledge of digital signage platforms and signal distribution (HDBaseT, AV over IP, etc.)
Basic networking, audio systems, and AV configuration knowledge
Confident communicator with a professional, solutions-focused approach
Full UK Driving Licence
Desirable (Not Essential):
Experience with control systems (Crestron, AMX, Extron, Kramer, SY, etc.)
Rack building and basic AV programming
Site surveys and system specification experience
SC Clearance
Skills & Certifications
Strong IT and troubleshooting skills
Good working knowledge of PCs and networking
CSCS or ECS card (preferred)
