The successful candidate will report directly to the Financial Controller and play a key role in supporting day-to-day finance operations.
Key Responsibilities
*Preparation of monthly management accounts
*Reconcile intercompany balances and ensure accuracy across different entities
*Monitor accruals and prepayments to maintain accurate monthly reporting
*Prepare variance analysis against budget and forecast, highlighting key drivers of performance
*Maintain fixed asset registers and calculate depreciation schedules
*Review balance sheet reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies
*Provide commentary and insight on monthly results for senior management
*Support cash flow forecasting and monitor working capital requirements
*Production of VAT returns and other statutory filings as required
*Prepare detailed schedules to support external audits and liaise with auditors
*Analyse trends in revenue, margins, and overheads to inform strategic decisions
*Provide clear commentary on monthly results, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities for the business
Candidate Profile
*ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified (or actively studying).
*Strong background in management accounting.
*Excellent analytical and reporting skills.
*Confident communicator with the ability to build strong relationships.
*Advanced Excel skills
